HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Thank you for helping make 2011 a very successful year for Nate Myers and the Aces!
We hope you all had a great holiday season! The band celebrated New Year's Eve in Rehoboth Beach, DE at the Dogfish Head Brewpub. It was a packed house and we all had a great time... already made plans to return next NYE!
The new year brings some new opportunities for NM&A. The band will be performing at some new venues right off the bat. January 2012 features performances at Lancaster Dispensing Company (Lancaster, PA), Roxy & Duke's Rockabilly Roadhouse (Dunellen, NJ) and Market Cross Pub (Carlisle, PA)! We're really looking forward to these shows and hope to not only get support from our loyal fans, but also make lots of new fans and friends.
WE'RE HEADED BACK TO MEMPHIS!!!
Nate Myers and the Aces are proud to represent the Blues Society of Central Pennsylvania at the 2012 International Blues Challenge! This is a HUGE opportunity for the band - the IBC is a blues competition featuring bands from all over the world, competing for the honor of be named the best unsigned blues band... as well as a slew of amazing prizes that bands can only dream of! Among them, the winner will be featured in respected national blues publications, performances at some of the top blues venues/festivals (including the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise!!!), CD distribution deal, and much more.
NM&A in Memphis 2006In 2006, NM&A competed in the IBC, representing the Billtown Blues Association. Although we did not make it to the final round that year, we met many, many new friends and had an amazing time in Memphis. We also had a few opportunities to head to Clarksdale, MS, and reconnect with some good friends we made while recording The Lonesome Plowboy. We hope to do much the same again this year.
